Captain America’s Shield? You may not picture the glitz and glam when you think of impulsePOP, but the red carpet isn’t alien to us. We’re proud A-listers of some of the exciting and unique props you’ve definitely seen on screen!
We have been producing props and furniture for TV, Film, and Outdoor Entertainment Centres for more than 10 years! And our unique bespoke items have contributed to many blockbusters and fan favourites.
So, grab your popcorn, get comfy, and tuck into our list of claim-to-fames!?
Captain America’s Shield
This one’s for the Marvel fans to get excited about. We have produced over 80 shields for the thrilling battle scenes in this Marvel film series. They’re not as straightforward to make but always fun to take on. And they’re as sturdy as they look!
The shield domes are made of spun aluminium, lasered and individually colour anodized to achieve the signature heroic look. We’re as excited to see the shields in action as those eagerly anticipating Marvel’s next film, Avengers: Infinity Wars!
Romeo & Juliet balconies
“Good night, good night! parting is such sweet sorrow,
That I shall say good night till it be morrow.”
We’ve shamelessly caught the romance bug! We’ve constructed Juliet balconies, in stainless steel with a powder coated frame, to fit each bespoke requirement. Beit for commercial or residential purposes, romance is never lost when these balconies are requested.
A bug hotel
Remember ‘A Bug’s Life’? The classic award-winning animation about adventurous ants and various bugs? Well, we had nothing to do with it.
But what we’re proud of is building a hotel-style ant colony in the fashion of ‘A Bug’s Life’. We created a luxurious hotel for our tiny friends, using Corten metal (which is the same material as used for the ‘Angel of the North’). The finished garden art installation was placed in a public area in Cambridge.
Channel 4’s For the Love of Cars
From Hollywood to your TV screens! We were asked to be involved in Channel 4’s For the Love of Cars (2014). And our fun task was to recreate the famous ‘Back To The Future’ Delorean Car in an episode inspired by it.
Getting our hands on the LVD Laser Cutter is always cause for celebration. It was fun teaming up with Ant Anstead and the film crew to deliver an exciting episode of television.
Jack Black’s ‘Gulliver’s Travels’
The laser cutter returns! With this project, we teamed up with the Props department of Pinewood Studios to make lasered props for ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ (2010).
Our props were used all over Jack Black’s character. Like the rotating sphere mechanism capturing Gulliver in action. But you might recognise one of our more noticeable creations: a full size and scaled model of the chair.
