Nairn’s oatcakes are known throughout the world for their healthy, tasty, wholesome and natural qualities. In 2017, Nairn’s introduced a new range of snack products to complement their existing product ranges and were seeking a POS display partner to work with who would be able to produce a unit design to make a real impact for their new products in- store. Impulse POP developed the unit design ideas with Nairn’s sales and marketing teams and trials were agreed for mid-2017. With a wide selection of award-winning products, Nairn’s needed a design for a counter display unit that would show the new products and their benefits to maximum effect, often alongside the already established Nairns’ product ranges during their UK store trials. The counter unit displays were tested in- store at healthfood shops as well as at music festivals and other outdoor events throughout 2017. Impulse purchases are important to Nairn’s snacks and healthfood product ranges, so easy to read and easy to understand packaging and on display information needs to be clearly stated. To this end, the in-store counter units were built with a white foamex display board side panel and card back graphics with clear brand imagery and text with wireframe holders to accommodate the various snack products. The wire-framed counter unit displays are manufactured in high-quality mesh for durability with 4 colour printed foamex side panels and a card graphic backboard for maximum brand impact. The display panels and back card graphic can be easily updated for future new product launch programmes. The units have been well received by consumers and retailers and Nairn’s are hoping to be able to roll out the counter displays units in volume in early 2018.
