Retail Podium Displays
After the fantastic success of our athletes in Rio, it has been great to be commissioned to develop Retail Podium Displays in the Sports sector.
Impulse designed and produced these Retail Podium Displays, which are currently being distributed across Europe, constructed from metal and acrylic, with updateable and interchangeable magnetic graphics. These are particularly effective in-store for the merchandising team as the magnetic substrate alleviates the need for fixings.
This exciting development is part of a larger scale display initiative, for a new family of displays, which includes Baselayers, an integral and essential breathable under garment for the winter sports kit, to keep you warm whilst training. Impulse were asked to create a free standing display to show the kit off to its best ability. We knew the FSDU had to be flat packed as it needed to be sent to destinations abroad, it also had to be simple and effective, letting the product do the work. The packaging for the product is contemporary, therefore the hanging display also needed to support and enhance this type of design.
Impulse produced an anti-theft flat pack 2D torso which attaches to the end for a sample product to hang on; once the sample is in place the design of the fixing creates an anti-theft solution. As the torso is flat pack it gives the unit a much smaller footprint in transit. We recently shipped this display to a store in Madrid for DARE2b, they were very happy with the end product and the fast turnaround service.
Considerations in the design include the ability to ship safely worldwide, the requirement for multi language capabilities, clear product information and an ability to highlight the products by showcasing an actual trail trainer for customer interaction; in major international sports retailers and department stores.
Impulse offer an end to end service, demonstrated here by firstly offering visual designs. The client then chose a favourite, which Impulse then produced a prototype for approval, following on with a production quantity which is now selling products in store.
